
The government's ACT ON CO2 website says:
"It is now generally accepted that climate change is happening and human activity is almost certainly the cause. In the last 100 years the Earth has warmed by 0.74°C (and by 0.4°C since the 1970s), meaning that global sea levels have gone up, glaciers and sea ice have melted, floods and droughts are on the increase, and heat waves are worse. Moreover, we are committed to further unavoidable climate change from this past rise in temperature, including further sea level rises for centuries to come."
Olympus Automation fully supports the worldwide efforts to adopt a responsible approach to environmental issues and have recently replaced ten company cars with the latest version of the hybrid Toyota Prius, producing carbon emissions of just 89 grams per kilometre. The business has also changed to a fixed fuel per mile charge to encourage responsible fuel efficient driving.
Working practices have changed including the extensive use of remote access and video conferencing
to reduce travel miles. Our office uses recycled products as well as separating waste for recycling.
